Why are Muslims facing such big problems nowadays? What is wrong with them, taking marriage as a play?

“Do not make small issues big and do not make big issues small” – Sister Ammaara

The road to happiness is quite long because we need to cure our mind and heart first in order to walk upright. It is dramatic to say that evil seems easier than good deeds.

Whenever you try to join a group of Muslims and try to have some good conversation about Islam, you end up frustrated.

Why? Because the real debate is often over exaggerated or denied. Let’s say for example you are talking about ‘permissible jealousy’ – the protective jealousy called ghayrah in marriage, automatically, both male and female will talk about the permissibility of men marrying up to four women and within minutes, the true debate is over; the debate is now upon four nikkahs. One will say: “Oh jealous? She can’t because the man can marry up to four wives” Another one will say: Jealousy is haram anyway!” Another one will say: “Sharing is good, be generous!” and so on.

It has become a clear obsession but no one seems to realise it!!! Shaytan is playing with us.We don’t care whether ghayrah forms an essential part of our deen. We tend to neglect that many families are broken because they do not protect their mates. Many strange men have indecent attitude towards their female secretaries, maids, colleagues and women at large. They do not realise that their attitude is blameworthy.

Of course, with such an attitude even four wives may not be enough!!! Muslims have become greedy in many things, even in the number of times they marry. Marrying for the sake of Allah is just a mere excuse!!! Often, the reason belying their decision is greediness. and many women nowadays like to seduce married men, not simply because it is allowed, just to prove to themselves that ‘they can do it”. it is a challenge. But playing with such important issues can have grave consequences!!! Many couples are broken within weeks when the charms of the early days have gone, what is left is nothing but delusion!!!! unnecessary heart pain, hatred, frustration….

Many couples after having satisfied their greed, realise [too late] that they were not in love at all! the so-called love was just an illusion. Now they want to divorce and their frustration is so high that they want other couples to be frustrated too. So, they decide to break the marriages of their brothers and sisters in Islam.

We must understand that we are living in the Age of the End Times, people have become crazy. They cannot be trusted easily. Today they tell you one thing, tomorrow they tell you another thing. Today they are in love with you but tomorrow you find out that they were in love with your purse!!!

On the other side, the biggest fitna for men is certainly women!! Many men become crazy when a women walk in front of them. Any interaction is an excuse for looseness, indecent talks. Both men and women stand up on the same level of fitnah. They want fitnah. They want to enjoy life. They don’t care about future consequences. They just want to live and enjoy!!!

They want to act as actors and actresses in films. Actors and actresses who do selfies and who wake up in the morning with an inexplicable loneliness and a soul which cries every second because it is starving!!!

No recition of the Qur’an, no salah, no fasting, no sadaqa, no fruitful conversation, no reflection, no meditation, no silence, no islamic tuition, except greed, greed, greed!!!!

Parents want children because they believe that they will stand up proudly on the day of judgment with all their children in front of them. But do they care to take those children to the madrassas and to islamic lessons? Do fathers and mothers accompany their children to islamic lessons?

Do men who say they can handle four wives, accompany their four wives to islamic lessons? check their salah whether they are performing salah correctly or whether they are neglectful in prayers? Do husbands check and reprimand their wives if the latter are not giving sadaqa and are not doing dawah?

Yes, we do make small issues big and big issues small!!!!

The events of the hajj 2015 and its reflection

Since yesterday, many Hajjis have reached Mauritius safely, Al hamdulillah

We are still waiting to receive news about the missing ones. May Allah have mercy upon those souls who have died while accomplishing their hajj. May Allah grant sabr [patience] to their respective families

This year, several ‘sad’ events have occurred during hajj in Saudi Arabia. While there have been many speculations and hearsays. Here is an account of one of the pilgrim who survived the Mina stampede which took the lives of nearly 1000 people!

The stampede lasted for more than hour to the extent that some people died while standing and no one could do anything for them.

The person narrating this said my mind couldn’t completely wrap itself around the hadith’s about the horrors of judgment day (without saying its the same as judgment day) until I lived through this incident. He said after some time after pushing, shoving and suffocating what the pilgrims were wearing started coming off until some of them became completely naked.

Except that the horror of the situation didn’t let anyone look to the private parts of the others and that is similar to what the Prophet informed us about from the calamities and horrors of judgment day.

This pilgrim says that while he was standing he could feel corpses under his feet and after some time he felt something nudging at his feet and he did not know what it is and it kept occurring until he figured out that it was a woman that was still alive and she was biting his foot to let him know she is still alive so he can save her but unfortunately he was not able to do anything (myself myself) and he remembered the verse that means on that day the person will flee from his brother and his mother and his father and his wife and his children and every person will have something that keeps them busy…so he said even if that was my own mother I wasn’t able to do anything for her.

And in the end Allah willed for this person to be saved so he can narrate for us some of the horrors that he lived through in an incident that lasted perhaps an hour .. so how will we encounter a day which is 50,000 years long?

THE CONCEPT OF HALAL TOURISM – Muslims travel safe

There has been an  increase in the number of tourism destinations offering halal products and services. This concept of halal tourism makes it easier for Muslims to travel without neglecting their beliefs.

The following countries make great holiday destinations for Muslims:

Mauritius

Though Mauritius counts only 18 % Muslims, yet Muslims are a well developed community, well-advanced and well-aware of the shariah. While many hotels are NOT YET SHARIAH COMPLIANT – that is, they do not specifically cater for Muslims’ needs, yet halal food can be found almost everywhere. Some fast foods offer halal food.

Go to Bagatelle commercial centre, Phoenix commercial centre and eat halal. It is better of course to eat halal at a Muslim restaurant so that you are 100 % sure you are eating halal. The best place to go and meet Muslims in Port-Louis, the capital of Mauritius. Plaine Verte and its surroundings are a Muslim bastion. There are many street vendors at Rue Desforges, even late at night, selling Biryani, chips, Kebabs etc at cheap prices.

Mauritius has recently made significant attempts to accommodate certain elements of the Islamic culture. The Islamic Cultural Centre at Rue La Paix, Port-Louis is a chef d’oeuvre. Mosques are countless is Mauritius, with more and more beautiful architectures. Muslim tourists will be enthusiastic to see the number of Muslims who wear the hijab, especially in Port-Louis regions.

Shops are too many!!! They sell Male and Female Muslim attires, perfume, tasbih. We count librairies and booksellers though we need to have more islamic books.

Be well aware of this. Also avoid those places who sell pork and try to avoid those places who sell halal as well as alcoholic drinks.

Many Muslims, whether locals or tourists simply neglect HALAL. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE. Whether they are dressed islamically or not, many Muslims simply do not care about eating halal. They just go for their passions and desires.

REMEMBER: THIS IS A BIG SIN. ALLAH MENTIONS IT IN THE QUR’AN. EATING HARAM FOOD IS A SIN AND IT DESTROYS YOUR FAITH.

How to travel along in Mauritius?

Mauritius is a small island with many places to visit. Mauritius is so beautiful that it is breathtaking. Unfortunately, tourists often rely on travel agencies who take them to limited places to visit.

Travel inside Mauritius either by car or by bus. Train or metro are not available in Mauritius.

While not take a bus? Buses are so many and so cheap!!! If you are going to the seasides, you may opt for a public bus and if you plan to come back to your hotel late, then take a taxi on your return! This can be done.

If you are going to the city such as Port-Louis, Rose-Hill, Curepipe, Quatre-Bornes, Bagatelle, Phoenix commercial centre – there is no need to take a taxi.

To go to Pamplemousses garden, you just need to take a bus as the garden is found on the main road.

However, if you are going to visit some forlorn places, then of course you need a taxi, because buses simply don’t do those routes. Examples, visiting the Vallée des couleurs [23 coloured earth] , Chamarel [the seven coloured earth], Domaine ….

Turkey

Turkey is a transcontinental country situated on the border of Western Asia and Eastern Europe. It has many glorious coastlines and is one of the best destinations for both Muslims and non Muslims. The Mauritian government has planned to bring the Turkish airline to Mauritius since the 15th of December.

One of the commonest place to visit is the Taksim region.

Dubai

Dubai  and Turkey makes a great travel destination for Muslims due to the growing awareness for the need of Shariah-compliant packages in major hotels and restaurants. Many of the halal certified hotels have gone out of their way to ensure halal food availabilities all year round, in order to cater for Muslim visitors  who regularly visit the country.

However, Muslims should be well aware that many non Muslims take advantage of this opportunity to sell their products which may not be halal. so please be well aware of this.
