Why Muslims do not care about halal food anymore?

Muslims and Jews have been blessed by Divine Books which stipulate clearly the importance of halal and haram [permissible and non permissible food]. While the Jews have been given the Tawrat, Muslims are blessed with the Quran. The Jews adhere to the kosher and Muslims to the halal. There are a few differences between the two.

Most of the Jews continue to pursue this law and eat kosher. Many Muslims continue to eat halal but they do not know what strict halal means.

Let us differentiate the attitudes of Muslims:

  1. they do not eat at restaurant at all because they are afraid they may be haram and they are used to eat at home for the blessings it offers.
  2. they eat only at Muslim restaurants whose cook/servers/owners are all Muslims because cooking food that is halal can only be done by a Muslim himself who eats halal and understand the requirements of halal. That’s logical!!!
  3. They eat at any Muslim restaurants even if the latter do not respect the norms; the cook is not Muslim and the servers look dirty, loose hair, dirty nails, do not wear correct uniform etc
  4. They eat anywhere that say: ‘halal’ even if the owner is non-Muslim.
  5. They eat wherever they want: halal or not. They look only for good taste which satisfy their bellies.
  6. They think that all vegetarian food are halal. They don’t know that vegetarian food can contain haram ingredients such as alcohol or animal fat and blood. So, they go to non-halal restaurant and eat their veg food or their fish menus.

Muslims are the biggest buyers in the world and in Mauritius, Muslims are the biggest buyers. Muslims are everywhere but they are not using this to their own advantage. If they require for halal food as it should be, all restaurants would adhere to it because they would fear losing their clients. All hotels should be strict about halal and not play with the word only. Like we see many hotels, who says: halal friendly and when you step there, the pork, wine etc are served nearby. The same cook is preparing the omelette with bacon ….how many Muslims say they are disgusted to go to hotels because such and such hotels do not care about halal but still, they do not write to these hotels and do not discuss with the management!!! Still there are coward people who prefer to remain silent and try to pick some fish here and there in order not to be taken as an extremist. It is your right!!! You have nothing to feel ashamed of. Haram food is harmful to your body and mind, that’s why it is prohibited for you. You should be proud in telling people to cook what is good for their nature and to decline what is unnatural to their bodies!!!

Muslims should encourage other Muslims to open more restaurants and deluxe ones, at the sea-side so that Muslim tourists can come without fear!!! However, the waiters, cookers should also be professional, clean and tidy. They should look fresh and believers. You cannot say you own a restaurant and you employ anyone to serve the clients. Halal food means you make dua on your food, you are conscious that Allah is ONE and that food is cooked according to the norms. This includes cleanliness, hygiene and care. A server who comes to serve you with long loose hair, long dirty nails, sweaty face with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt….Subhan Allah!!!

I am happy to read from a Jew what she said about a hotel in Mauritius: She asked for kosher food and this is her appreciation :

“The food was what really made this holiday for us. We had very low expectations. Having been told by the hotel that they would cater for our kosher dietary needs, we brought a suitcase full of food with just in case. We didn’t need it. Chef Michael had ordered everything we could imagine from Paris, including the viennoiserie. He set aside a separate kitchen area, that we were able to view, where he prepared all our food. Having expected paper plates, no – the hotel had bought everything new to enable us to dine in style. The food itself was of outstanding standard that would easily fit in any fine restaurant in the world. Even the Shabbat food was taken care of, cooked in advance alongside home-made challah. I was even able to light the stove to prevent issues of bishul akum. It was tremendous.”

In Surah Al Maidah, Allah has given us permission to eat the food of people of the Book, that is the Jews and the Christians. Of course, we are talking about such Christians who do not eat pork and who adhere to their Book. Apart from these, Muslims have NOT been given the permission to eat at the polytheists. So, doing this, is a big sin

And Allah knows best and we pray that Allah help us to be strict in halal

If they could read the Quran and see clearly what the Quran orders them to do, then surely they should feel ashamed of eating food in any restaurant. But to satisfy their bellies, they are ready to cross the line.

Let this mixture stand for a few minutes to allow the ingredients to blend well with the milk. To this you can add honey, jaggery, sugar or cane sugar to taste. Mix and re-heat for a few minutes. Strain the mixture to get rid of pieces of ginger and turmeric. Drink this while hot.

As a variant, few peppercorns can be added along with turmeric and ginger. Peppercorns is said to help improve absorption of turmeric by the body.

Another addition to the above recipe that can give a slight different flavor to turmeric milk is to add a few pods of cardamom (cracked) and pinch of saffron to the milk / water concoction before boiling.

Here is another variant turmeric milk recipe to soothe a cough. Take a cup of milk, add sugar to taste, heat and keep this aside. Take ½ teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds) and heat in a non-stick pan for a few minutes until brown.

My take on turmeric milk

I am regular user of turmeric milk, especially in winter season as I get cold and cough very easily. While there are some specs on how much turmeric one should use, but if you do not want to use much, try taking a little bit less. It would still be better than taking none at all.

Again, just make sure – 1) turmeric you use is pure and 2) understand situations when you should not use turmeric. Hope, you try these various recipes for turmeric milk and enjoy the many therapeutic benefits.

Cup of milk into a pan, mix in 1 t/spoon of turmeric powder, 1/4 t/spoon black pepper and 1 t/spoon of Honey, heat up the mix and keep stirring then just before boiling take off the heat and pour into your cup. I have this every morning for my elevenses. I started this recipe mid Feb 2016 and found that my very very bad migraines have all but ceased. Have also found that my acid reflux that I have had for some 12 years has eased considerably. I, also take as and when it will fit in with my meals, Cayenne pepper 1/2 t/spoon at a time, sometimes it could be twice a day or every other day.

comment 2:

I don’t know that much about this, but I think that it lightens our complexion….. I’ve been using just milk and home grown turmeric for almost 3 months…friends who have not seen me for 6 months are surprised at my glowing complexion….it indeed make you skin visibly fairer……

Comment 3:

Never add salt to milk

Comment 4:

Taking 1 Tsp 3x daily. Great success with my Fibro and Arthritis pain. Not helpful for my back.

Comment 5:

The turmeric is not water soluble but the paste is a kind of thick suspension. Adding the oil is crucial as you have learned, turmeric is fat soluble. The black pepper is the catalyst.

What is needed for making golden paste [turmeric paste]

  • 1/2 cup turmeric powder (125 mls) – Use organic powder.
  • 1 cup water (250 mls)
  • 1/2 cup water extra, if needed (125 mls)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper (7.5 mls) – We need this as turmeric is absorbed poorly in body. Piperine present in black pepper helps in its absorption.
  • 70 ml cold pressed Olive or Coconut oil – Adding fats is another way to increase the absorption of turmeric in body. Chose healthy oils such as virgin coconut to virgin olive oil.
  • Steps:

It is extremely easy and quick.

Add turmeric to water in a pan. Heat gently along with stirring. Do this till you get a think paste.

This can take anything from 6 to 10 min.

If you feel your paste is watery, add some more turmeric if you feel it has become too think, add some water.

At the end — add the pepper and oil.

Keep stirring to ensure that all ingredients are mixed properly.

    Allow it to cool.

One great thing about this paste is you can keep it in a jar and refrigerate it. This will ensure you can make it once and use for a few days.

Opinions vary on how long we can keep the jar, in my opinion 1-2 weeks is okay. Not more that that.

Women in this modern society are still being treated as inferior to men

“Men treat women as inferior and women treat women as inferior to men. When others see you inferior, it is difficult to swallow but when your own  consider you as inferior, then you can only stare in dismay!!!”

This has been the situation for decades where women think they are inferior to men and because of this mentality, the society has remained imbalanced and underdeveloped for years. Those women who have tried to show their competence were often looked down, not only by men but by women!!!! When you try to establish fairness and equity among men and women in the society, you will always see a group of staunch women who will bar your way ….shameful thoughts indeed because they lack knowledge and they do not know why they have been created

In order to give you a clear picture of what happens in today’s society and how believers are supposed to think…this is a short article which I received on the social media

“It is halaal (permissible) for a widow to marry again – it is haraam (prohibited) for YOU to gossip about her ‘character’ if she does.

It is halaal for a woman to ask for khulaa’ (divorce) if she cannot stay in the relationship in a healthy manner any longer – it is haraam for YOU to backbite and raise questions about her femininity, loyalty and nature.

It is halaal for a woman to raise her voice if she is going through domestic abuse, torture and blackmail – it is hypocrisy for YOU to tell her to bear with it because she is a woman!

It is halaal for a woman to ask for her mahr from the husband the moment she gets married – it is shameful for YOU to expect her to “forgive” the mahr if she wants to be called a ‘good’ woman.

It is halaal for a woman to pray inside the masjid, meet her sisters for dawah and recreation, and have fun in life – it is outside of enough for YOU to tell her she should become invisible if she wishes to enter Jannah.

Get out of your little holes and stand up for JUSTICE, TRUTH AND ISLAM! Enough of your cultural, scared, and humiliating tactics to make me believe Islam has done this to me. Nay! Every time you do not stand up for my sisters when they are abused and misused, YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE.

Either have the courage to practice the true teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) or for the Sake of your self -STAY OUT OF IT”

Turkey under siege? What will be the future of Turkey, after the failed coup?

Turkey was besieged by a group within the military forces. This group tried to take over the country by force.  There was an attempted coup in Turkey last night [that is, Friday 15th July 2016] by Gulenist terrorists but they failed.

Turkey coup: military attempt to seize power from Erdogan as low flying jets and gunfire heard in Ankara and bridges across Bosphorus in Istanbul closed. After Erdogan appealed for people to take to the streets, many of his followers obeyed his orders and mosque loudspeakers exhorted his supporters to go out and protest the coup attempt. Many of his partisans died and finally, after a shocking night, peace was restored and the opponents seized.

As the opponents claim secularism, it means that Turkey has been blessed this night and the angels have been on the side of President Erdogan and all those who are in favour of Islamic rights. Secularism means the death of Islam. If we rewind the tape some years back during Ataturk and post Ataturk, we find that people were confused and lost; they were ignorant of Allah and the Last Day. Today, if you have the opportunity to visit Turkey, you will see the positive change. istanbul, Sultan Ahmet is a blessed place, where the majority of people are decently dressed, pious and going to the Masjids.

quoting the words of Rachel Sharon-Krespin, in her article Fethullah Gülen’s Grand Ambition Turkey’s Islamist Danger, she says:

“Today, Turkey has over 85,000 active mosques, one for every 350 citizens—compared to one hospital for every 60,000 citizens—the highest number per capita in the world and, with 90,000 imams, more imams than doctors or teachers. It has thousands of madrasa-like Imam-Hatip schools and about four thousand more official state-run Qur’an courses, not counting the unofficial Qur’an schools, which may expand the total number tenfold. Spending by the governmental Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet Işleri Başkanlığı) has grown five fold, from 553 trillion Turkish lira in 2002 (approximately US$325 million) to 2.7 quadrillion lira during the first four-and-a-half years of the AKP government; it has a larger budget than eight other ministries combined. The Friday prayer attendance rate in Turkey’s mosques exceeds that of Iran’s, and religion classes teaching Sunni Islam are compulsory in public schools despite rulings against the practice by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the Turkish high court (Danıştay). Both Prime Minister Erdoğan and the Diyanet head Ali Bardakoğlu criticized the rulings for failing to consult Islamic scholars.”

This means that Turkey is excelling in doing better, not worse!!! This means that Turkey is paving towards Islamisation. And the future of Turkey will be bright if believers supplicate Allah to protect this country and to protect its president and his family and to pray that Allah bless them with faith and bright decision for the betterment of Islam. The military coup utterly failed because the people refused to be intimidated. It means that success lies in unity and prayer. Allah is with those who struggle for truth.

This is a picture of Turkey where people are praying in the street. See the huge mass

What is happening to Turkey and why do some want Turkey to return to a secular way?

People who do not want stabilisation, who care about secularism are those who do  not believe in the next world. This world is doomed to end and we all will stand up to give accounts of our deeds, good and bad.

These pictures show what happened yester night

But at the same time, people relied on Allah. There was adhan (call to prayer) at the mosques all night long at the mosques through out Istanbul. The verses of the Quran read at the mosques. Turkish people served their morning prayers at the streets, and read the Quran.

Allah warns us in the Quran against subversive information. Today we face this type of misinformation perpetrated by many western media because their ultimate objective is to bring Islam to the mud. So Believers should not fall into the media’s trap but analyse any situation to seek the truth.

x quote

These are few comments coming from social media:

N: Turkish people have united together against western propaganda. They behaved as one nation, all brothers and sisters, and did not hate each other because of different political views. They did not let western agenda to destroy their beautiful country. They raised above and stood together not against each other. Alhamdulillah, they refused to become another Egypt, another Libya, another Yemenand another Syria.

S: I am from India and I love and support turkey . May Allah prevail peace and harmony in turkey .

Z: ALLAHU AKBAR … ALHAMDULILLAH… I LOVE ISLAM…I LOVE TURKEY… I LOVE ERDOGAN…

N: Congratulations Turkey! You have taught a historical lesson to the corrupters. May Allah protect all Muslims around the world!

We post here the comment of Moazzam Begg

“All praises to Allah, Turkey did not go the way of Egypt at all and has taught the world a very important lesson. The military coup utterly failed because the people refused to be intimidated. While several media outlets like the BBC falsely reported that the military had taken over and Erdogan had fled the country, they entirely failed to report the reality or capture the mood on the street that the rest of us could see – via social, alternative and Turkish media – and proved, through biased running commentary that they were keen on seeing the coup succeed. Reporting that bridges have been blocked by the military and the “TV station” seized, they forgot that TV-station-capturing is so 1950s in this digital age, as one Turkish politician put it. There are many other sources of credible news.

They failed to report the tens of thousands who came out in the streets, stirred by the Islamic call to prayer to challenge the coup. They wilfully omitted reporting the reverberating chants of “Ya Allah, bismillah, Allahu akbar” in that distinct and wonderful Turkish accent that shook the earth beneath the plotters feet and, how they prayed the dawn prayer in congregation on the streets to remember their purpose, in tranquility and thankfulness, amidst all the commotion and upheaval. The media were sluggish, at best, in reporting how tanks were captured and soldiers arrested not just by the police but unarmed protestors who came out, despite the firing. Even Kurdish protestors rallied against the coup. Let us remember too those who were killed in all of this…

It is evident, just as in Egypt, that powerful nations were watching and waiting eagerly on the sidelines, backing the coup but, ready to claim, as they eventually did, in the event of failure, that they supported the democratically elected leaders. Really? I don’t recall such support for democracy in Algeria, Palestine or Egypt. In fact, while Egyptian leaders faced life and death sentences western leaders, like Cameron, were endorsing and visiting the military regime to make deals and ordering ‘inquiries’ into the Muslim Brotherhood. Let the world take note of these forked-tongues. It’s never been about rights, values or people’s choices. It’s just interests.

The Turks have been put under immense pressure and have of course made lots of mistakes (making deals with Israel being one of them) and need to be accountable to their people for that. But let’s not forget how many refugees they’ve absorbed, how many violent attacks they’ve faced and how much they’ve been vilified in Europe – with Brexitiers scaremongering how 2 million Turks could come to British shores if we remained in the EU. Well, Turkish streets filled up last night in support of their president and government against the largest standing army in Europe. I wonder how many would do the same for resigned Cameron or unelected May, if it ever came to that?”

The types of sorcery done on a person

Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Rahim

This article was received through social network. Many people ask for information about what are: evil eye, sorcery etc…

TYPES OF SORCERY….

We can divide sorcery into four types: eaten, stepped-on, put in the body and made by distance.
Food related sorcery will, in 95% of the cases, engender digestive troubles: stomach or intestines troubles, such as burns, nausea, vomiting, lumps, gases, stings. These difficulties are permanent in general, but they sometimes last only a short period then disappear. They are medically unexplained, but burns might be soothed by a medical treatment. When a person suffers from these gastric troubles and has sorcery symptoms among those previously described, he can almost be sure he is victim of eaten sorcery. Notice sorcery may also be eaten accidentally: it was meant for someone and someone else ate it.

Stepped-on sorcery is mostly accidental: it was lying there for a reason or another and someone stepped on it.
It mostly has effects on skin: cuts, eczema (psoriasis) and buttons on the body and mostly on legs, sometimes changing places and medically unexplained. It may also cause hair to fall or weakness in the legs. There is no effect of breaking a couple apart, preventing work or other effects, but only the physical effect. Sometimes sorcery is put on someone‟s way – mostly before his house – to hit him. It will then have the intended effect and not only affect the skin.

Sorcery put in the body means the sorcerer sends jinns to put the sorcery in the body of the person. It is generally put in women‟s ovaries to stop pregnancy; in man‟s sex to arouse impotency, or anywhere in the body to cause pain and dysfunction. It may also be put in the body simply because the sorcerer has sent jinns in the person and the sorcery in his body will stop them going as long as it is here: if the victim seeks to be cured and the raqi tries to remove the jinns while they are linked to the sorcery in his body and the raqi does not know how to remove this sorcery or does not know about t at all, the jinns will not leave whatever he may do. Thus, sorcery may be put in the body only to complicate the healing of the person if he tries to get cured. You may think of it when you feel a permanent or recurrent pain in a specific place.

Distance sorcery is the most classic and frequent one. But it may be complicated by using symbols. Hanged in a high place, it will dominate and envelop the person so he will turn round and round in his life returning to the same point instead of progressing. It may also cut his mental from reality so he lives in an imaginary world peopled by doubt, fear, indecision, change of mood, etc. It also causes heavy head or headaches and will make him dream to rise in high places, go down or fall. Buried in the earth, it sucks the strength and energy of the person causing him to have restless sleep and giving him a depressed look and a mentality of a looser. Buried in a grave yard, the person becomes as a dead one, empathic and linked with death: he doesn‟t see any future and lives on a day to day basis, he will think about death and dream of dead people or graves.
Sorcery put in a well means the person will remain “in the bottom of the well”, financially speaking, and will never manage to break through.
Sorcery may be made with menstrual blood: it causes gynecological troubles, difficulties in having sex and alteration in tenderness and love.
Sorcery with chain or padlock will chain the person to hinder his business. It may also chain jinns in the person. Knots are often used to block communication: as soon as we start discussing we dispute; or to set obstacles in life: each time he overcomes an obstacle, another one will come up; or “knots” in the thinking: he will stick to fixed points to disturb reasoning. Knotted strings come out in dreams as snakes. Black tar is often used in sorcery to create a darkness effect: he would see life dark and depressive, people see him that way and avoid him. Dolls are used to put needles in them making stings in the body of the person as if nails are planted in him, or different things to hurt him physically such as burning them, cutting them, burying them, etc. Then the symbols used are really unlimited and sorcerers continue to invent new recipes: fat to make the person fat, donkey‟s ears so he becomes stupid, dog‟s hair so he becomes mean and aggressive, frog so he becomes repulsive, official papers to block his official procedures, etc

AND ALLAH KNOWS BEST

COMBATING AGAINST SIHR, EVIL EYE AND JINN.

COMBATING AGAINST SIHR, EVIL EYE AND JINN.

Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani said: “The Messenger of Allaah said: ‘The jinn are of three types: a types that has wings, and they fly through the air; a type that looks like snakes and dogs; and a type that stops for a rest then resumes its journey.” [Shaykh al-Albaani said in al-Mishkaat (2/1206, no. 4148): al-Tahhaawi and Abu’l-Shaykh reported it with a saheeh isnaad]

One of the greatest means of protecting and combating oneself against the evil effects of witchcraft ,evil eye/envy and jinn is to persist in regularly reciting the Adhkaar .They prevent against witchcraft ,evil eye/envy and jinn possession before it happens, protecting one against it and warding off its evil, and remedying it if it does happen.

Those who have tried these supplications prayers for refuge on a regular basis morning and evening know their value and benefit and how a great need there is for them.

أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق

The Messenger (Muhammad SAW) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), “We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers” and they say, “We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all).” (285) Allâh burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. “Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maulâ (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people.”

Narrated Saad: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “Whoever takes seven ‘Ajwa dates in the morning will not be effected by magic or poison on that day.”
Sahih Muslim, Volume 7, Book 71, Number 671:

Narrated Sa’d: The Prophet said, “If somebody takes some ‘Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be effected by poison or magic on that day till night.” (Another narrator said seven dates). (Sahih Bukhari)

‘Aisha reported Allah’s Messenger as saying, “The ‘ajwah dates of al-‘Aliya taken as the first thing in the morning, in the state of fasting; contain healing for all (kinds of) magic or toxins.” (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 23592)

HOW MAGICIANS WORK!
In cases of Black-Magic, the Jinn involuntary (forced by the magician) causes harm to the victim by possession him and making him sick or causing him physical harm as per the instructions of his master, the magician.
•The Sahir or Magician, does rituals of shirk and ku’fr like – praising, worshiping seeking refuge, offering scarifies, taking oaths to or in the name of the Chief of Jinns/shaitans, and tries his best to please him (Chief Jinn). Some magicians please the Chief Jinn’s by authoo billah disrespecting the holy Quran by writing it with dirt and filth [menstrual blood, semen, etc], wearing the Quranic script in their shoes and walking with it into filthy places like toilets, etc, yet others please the Jinn Chief’s by committing Haram acts like incest, homosexuality, mocking and making fun of Islam, prophets, pious people..etc
•The Jinn’s chief once pleased and confident about the ku’fr, shirk and loyalty of the magician, signs up a contract/agreement with the Sahir that in return to the powers and slave Jinns he would be granting him, he(sahir) should spend the rest of his life doing the rituals of ku’fr and shirk and obeying his (Chief Jinn’s) orders. The type and the nature of contracts may vary from Chief Jinns to Jinns and once the contract is signed by the sahir, the Jinn Chief hands over some of his servant jinn’s or shaitan to serve the evil magician.
•The paymaster or relative or friend of the victim approaches the magician and asks him to cast a spell on the victim.
•The magician asks the paymaster to provide some personal information or items belonging to the victim like–full name along with his mothers name, his date of birth and place, the victims garments that has some sweat, his body remains like hair or nails, his photograph or dust of his house, etc
•The magician then summons his servant jinns [by rituals of Ku’fr and shirk and calling their names] for the present task in hand based on their skills, talent and experience and then casts a spell on the victims and binds some of his Jinns to the spell. More the complicated task, more the experienced and skilled jinns he will choose.
•Some times the magicians cast a spell on some food and drink and ask the paymaster to feed it to the targeted victim, or the magician may casts the spell on some dust or amulet or doll, etc and asks the paymaster to bury it in the victims house, so that the Jinns can easily locate the targeted victim or once some spell is casted, the Jinns then using the personal information that was provided by the paymaster track and locate the victim.
•Once the Jinn’s locate the victim, they then stalk or follow the victim for some time and wait for the right moment to possess and cause harm to him.
•When the victim is in extreme anger or extreme fear or extreme state of pleasure or forgetfulness or if in a sexual unclean state or state of committing sin, the Jinns enters his body(of the victim) and possess him.
•The Jinn’s inside the body, usually settled down in the central control unit of the victim body i.e brain (or sometimes heart causing heart to beat faster or any part of the body), now they have a complete control of the body and can cause him any kind of harm based on the spell and instructions of the magician like creating hatred or love for a specific person or causing him sickness or whispering inside his mind, or causing him to do unusual things, etc
•At any time if the slave jinn or Jinns refuse to carry out the orders of the sahir, he(sahir) performs rituals and summons the Chief of Jinn/shaitan who inturn punishes the slave Jinns and forces them to do the task of the sahir

REASONS JINNS INTERFERE WITH HUMANS

There are many reasons why a jinn would interfere with humans, but there must be a reason. In all the following cases there are always three possibilities: the jinn may be inside the body of the person, outside it or going in and out the person‟s body as he likes. When he is inside the body, he may possess the person and speak through him: this may be permanent, periodic or occasional.

1 Sorcery
The most frequent reason is sorcery. Sorcery does not need to be accompanied by a jinn, but jinns are sometimes sent to strengthen the effect of sorcery. For example, to break up a couple, the jinn can give the man a disgusting or frightening appearance in the eyes of his wife; to prevent someone working they will get the employer to reject him or not trust him. But the most that jinns do is to mentally disturb the victim: he will get no ending thoughts and obsessions as if someone is speaking in his head all day long. They also often play a role in illnesses and physical pains to disturb the body‟s natural functioning.
Jinns sent by sorcery are forced to do the job. They may be good, true Muslims or wicked and unbelievers. The good ones will do the job with reluctance and the wicked one will add more. In Africa particularly there is a long tradition of cooperation between jinns and sorcerers. As the original religion is worshiping statues and jinns through river, wood or sea, and slaughtering animals for them and offering various gifts, jinns have developed a science of serving sorcerers and accomplishing astonishing things for them. So there will be jinns with nearly every sorcery. For example, the victim could completely loose his mind by sending thousands of jinns into him. So nearly all the jinns you find in ill people are
professionals working for sorcerers.

2 Revenge
Jinns live around us. They are many in disused and uninhabited places. Dirty and humid places are especially habited because jinns find their food in the remaining of meals and excrements. They are also especially in old and ill maintained houses, but also in new and well maintained ones. By living around us, they avoid us; but a single brutal action without saying: “Bismillah” or throwing something away or pouring hot water, might reach them and harm them or cause handicap or death. Then they can retaliate or avenge one of their relatives by beating the person who inadvertently harmed them. The person may be partly paralyzed or heavy, he may be anxious or depressed, have suicidal or harassing thoughts or other manifestations. This often goes with nightmares: the person is beaten or prosecuted by scaring people. Jinns have less reason and more passion than we do. They have three strong passions: pride, love and vengeance. Jinns can devote his whole life doing nothing but retaliating against a person.

3 Love
This happens when we undress without saying “Bismillah”; jinns see us naked and can be sexually stimulated like when we see undressed persons because there is a kind of sexual compatibility between jinns and human beings. I mean if you just undress without saying “Bismillah”, that endangers you to catch jinns; but having any kind of forbidden or shameful sexual activity is an open door for jinns to join in and they may get linked to the person. Male jinns fall in love with women and females (jinniya) with men – homosexuality cases are rare with jinns. The kinds of persons jinns like are the people with no wickedness in heart towards their fellows. So, as we must love the good, we must hate the evil and have no mercy for unfair persons. We should not be gentle so to do for others what we don‟t really want to do. A hearty person should better listen to his heart rather than trust other people. The mentality to accept to undergo others predisposes the person to get jinns or sorcery. It occurs that this lover stays incognito. Most of the time, the person will have erotic dreams. Generally these dreams are not “difficult” but rather pleasant for men because the jinniya appears as the ideal woman for the man. They are also of a high frequency while the norm for a young bachelor is once every 10-15 days. If it is a woman subject to the jinn, sex is very intense. If she refuses or resists, she can be forced and blocked. Many people feel this: we feel blocked while going to bed and we are freed as soon as we make a move or we pronounce the name of Allah. The jinn that appears in the shape of the husband to cheat her and once the act is over, she realizes that it was not him. When the person is married, the jinn sometimes accepts the spouse, but most of the time, he does not bear him, therefore the person will not bear him too. This happens mostly to women. The husband should then act with tenderness to have sexual intercourse. If he insists, the wife maybe upset, cry and it will end up in dispute.

Fortune tellers/Qareen

Fortune-tellers operate through the Qareen. The Qareen is the Jinn companion which is assigned to every human being. It is this Jinn which whispers to our base desires and constantly tries to divert us from righteousness. The Prophet (saws) said: “Everyone of you has been assigned a companion from the Jinn. The companions asked: Even you O’ Messenger of Allah? And the Prophet replied: Even me, except that Allah has helped me against him and he has submitted. Now he only tells me to do good”. Because the Qareen is with a person all his life, it knows all that has happened to the person from the cradle to the grave. By making contact with the Qareen, the fortune-teller is thus able to make out that it is he who knows about the person. He looks in his crystal ball or the palm of a person and proceeds to amaze him with knowledge which no one else knows. The severity of going to a fortune-teller is such that the Prophet (saws) said: “The prayer of one who approaches a fortune-teller and asks him about anything, will not be accepted for forty days or nights” and: “Whosoever approaches a fortune-teller and believes in what he says, has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad [peace be upon him”

According to some rakis, asking Allah Azzawajal to show you your enemies may not help you, while others advise to do two rakats nafil at night and to read 7 times surah 99 . Of course there is no hadith which supports this. It is simply a piece of advice which does not carry anything shirk nor kufr. You may also supplicate Allah in your daily duas/supplication to show you your enemies so that you may distant yourself from them, and take the necessary precaution not to eat their food [for example], to remove them from your social network [for example]….to make dua for them too.

and Allah knows best

Don’t let the media tell you who is beautiful and who is not!!!

What is beauty? Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder

Everyone is beautiful and everyone has his/her admirers.

Don’t let the media tell you the criteria of beauty. Or you need to measure this and that, in order to be beautiful and admired

People spend huge sum of money to bring their skin from dark to white, they straighten their hair – who like artificial products? Everyone knows that natural products are healthy and useful. So, the Creator knows exactly why He created some white, some brown, some yellow, some dark…..Learn to love yourself and do not the media speak on your behalf and dictate your taste

Beauty is what makes your eyes and your heart happy and peaceful

What will I do after Ramadan is over?

Ramadan is the month of change. Does that mean that we change from the 1st Ramadan to the last day of Ramadan, and on the 1st day of Shawwal [which is Eid-Ul-Fitr] we come back to our previous habits?

If you think about it, it sounds ridiculous, yet many Muslims take it as such. We make some few changes in their lives and once, the month of shawwal is sighted, they reverse their actions!!! Of course, we are not discussing here about those who did not even care to make any changes during Ramadan – we are talking only about those who make a great effort to change and post Ramadan, they reverse!!!!

Why should an individual make so much effort for a whole month, reaching a certain level of eman, combating his nafs, sacrificing his sleep, caring for the poor, reconciling with people, standing till late in nafil prayers, and reverse those precious actions?

The answer is: shaytan plays trick about such individuals, telling them it is enough. they have done enough!!! Now, it is time to relax, to have some good times, to go to the club and enjoy with so-called friends. As they say, they can ‘rock’ Subhan Allah, how can believers lower themselves to the ground in order to look good to the non-believers? wh do they have to use words invented by the non-believers which, if you look closer, is irrelevant, baseless and vulgar. Why do Muslims have to say lol in every single discussion? Can’t they write [smile] in brackets. Do Muslims have to laugh so loud for every single issue. You can find this lol on most of the islamic pages too

Coming back to our topic, we need to continue our good work. We must strive and persevere towards what is good for the next life. Don’t lose your objectives. stay focus all the time. The friend that you choose, the companion that you choose, the wife or husband that you choose, can hinder your spiritual path …so choose with Eman. Create an inner change, a visible change, a profound change. Change for your own good, not to please others. Understand WHY YOU NEED TO CHANGE. THIS LIFE WILL SOON COME TO ITS END, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU?

Don’t be a blind follower of friends and groups. In fact, stay away from them from time to time in order to be alone with yourself. Be alone does not mean, being lonely. When you are alone, you have time to think and to recap. this is important for you to grow and to enrich yourself

Time flies so quickly and a whole month of Ramadan may not be enough for you to do all the ibabah that you planned. So, continue to do them as if you are in Ramadan.

  1. There are six nafil of fasting in the month of Shawwal, if you can, do it
  2. Keep up with the habits of night prayers and tahajjud
  3. Continue to cook for the poor and share your food with the needy and the poor
  4. Visit your families, especially those who are old and cannot travel
  5. Continue to read the Quran on a regular basis, even if it is few verses but read them with understanding so that you can act upon them
  6. Keep your TV shut, except if it is for islamic issues or the news
  7. Continue to eat dates because dates are very good for your health. In fact, it helps against all sorts of pain, periodical pain and pre-natal pain.
  8. Do not waste time with friends. Remember surah Az Zukhruf verse 67 :

“Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous”

May Allah have mercy upon us and help us to strive to the last minute.

Remember Ramadan is NOT the end of it, it is surely its beginning….the beginning of change

When women menstruate, can they do any act of worshipping Allah?

Can ladies do dhikr [remembrance of Allah], make dua and supplication while they are menstruating?

It is good to remind women that apart from praying and fasting, they can do other acts of worship. This is called Al Ibadah. In fact, Allah has created men and women for Ibadah.

What happens is that everyday I receive the same questions from ladies asking me if they can do this and that, or they tell me that they can’t do some dhikr because they are menstruating.

It is very important that menstruating ladies continue their duas and dhikr because if they stop all activities, they become an easy prey for shaytan!!!!

A Muslim must always remain in the remembrance of Allah. Do istighfar, give sadaqah and supplicate even during menstruation. They can take the opportunity to read hadith and other islamic books. They can reflect on their life, see what they need to change within themselves, how they can improve their relationship with Almighty Allah. It is a good thing to keep silent, to learn how to keep silent instead of constantly talking and chatting with friends and families. The more we talk, the more we can indulge in sins and errors. So, learning to keep silent, is a good way to become closer to Allah, to analyse situations and to journey inside ourselves!!!!

The advantages found in silence in many. The prophet [peace be upon him] used to remain silent and when he speaks, he speaks only good. It is sad that nowadays, people prefer music, noise, chatting and sending messages, checking their mobile for messages, playing games….and they have forgotten the especial gifts of silence. This is why they find it hard when they attend Islamic conferences, Friday sermon at the masjid, to keep their mouth shut and listen carefully. Or if their mouth is shut, their mind is still focused on their previous activities and they cannot concentrate.

A woman who is menstruating may do all acts of worship apart from praying, fasting, circumambulating the Ka’bah and doing i’tikaaf in the mosque.

It was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to stay up at night during the last ten nights of Ramadaan. Al-Bukhaari (2401) and Muslim (1174) narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “When the last ten nights of Ramadaan came, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) would refrain from marital relations, stay up at night and wake his family up.”

Staying up at night is not only for prayer, rather it includes all kinds of acts of worship. This is how the scholars interpreted it.

Al-Haafiz said: “Staying up at night” means staying up to do acts of worship.

Al-Nawawi said: spending the night staying up to pray etc.

He said in ‘Awn al-Ma’bood: i.e., in prayer, dhikr and reciting the Qur’aan.

Praying qiyaam is the best act of worship that a person can do on Laylat al-Qadr. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever spends the night of Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1901; Muslim, 760).

Because the woman who is menstruating is not allowed to pray, she can spend the night in doing other acts of worship apart from prayer, such as:

1- Reading or reciting Qur’aan. See question no. 2564.

2- Dhikr – such as saying Subhaan-Allaah, La ilaaha illa-Allaah, al-Hamdu Lillaah, etc. She can repeat the words “Subhaan-Allaah wa’l-hamdu Lillaah, wa laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar (Glory be to Allaah, praise be to Allaah, there is no god but Allaah and Allaah is Most Great)” and “Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdihi, subhaan Allaah il-‘Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allaah, glory be to Allaah the Almighty)” etc.

3- Istighfaar (praying for forgiveness), by repeating the phrase “Astaghfir-Allaah (I ask Allaah for forgiveness).”

4- Du’aa’ (supplication) – she can pray to Allaah and ask Him for what is good in this world and in the Hereafter, for du’aa’ is one of the best acts of worship. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “Du’aa’ is ‘ibaadah (worship).” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2895; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 2370).

The woman who is menstruating can do these acts of worship and others on Laylat al-Qadr.

We ask Allaah to help us to do that which He loves and which pleases Him. May Allaah accept our righteous deeds.
