I was thinking of visiting Muaritius and booking a villa for my family. Would anyone know of any Muslim guides? Where should I stay to have access to halal meat/eateries? Does anyone know of any muslim owned beach villas, or any other good villas that they might recommentd?

Advice and tips would be much appreciated. Please reply to my email shanur1@hotmail.com, although I will check this site on a regular basis, Insha Allah.

The best place to get access to halaal food is in Port-Louis. If you are staying at Grand Bay, in the north, you can have muslim bungalows for your family. The mosque is situated at Pereybere. You can also choose Flic-en-flac as destination. There are halaal food, restaurants, swalaat room, villas etc…

Assalamu Alaikum Sister Ammaara. I came across your blog today and I was captured. May Allah reward you abundantly for the good work you are doing in speading our beautiful deen of Islam. I am not young like you but well in my years and when I see posts like this, I am filled with joy to know that our young people will continue to promote Islam. I came to Mauritius in 1974, on a cruise ship from South Afica and visited Port Louis. Everything was so natural then – there were not all those hotels yet. Please carry on the good work, Insha Allah
